[UPDATED] Sabah court sentences mechanic to death for trafficking 200kg of meth

Mechanic Tai Chee Khiong has been sentenced to death by the Tawau High Court in Sabah after being found guilty of trafficking 200kg of methamphetamine.

The Tawau High Court yesterday sentenced an unemployed Filipino man to 80 years in jail and 24 strokes of the cane on two charges of killing two Indonesian men in Semporna two years ago, but the accused was ordered to serve his sentence concurrently from the date of his arrest on June 26, 2022.
