COP28 sees 600 Malaysian delegates, largest participation from nation

COP28 kicked off today until December 12 at Expo City Dubai, United Arab Emirates.  It is expected to host over 70,000 delegates, including heads of state and world leaders, to build consensus and facilitate progress on climate action among parties, delegates and thousands of non-government organisations, companies, youth groups and other stakeholders.

Environment ministry to table proposal for water tariff setting mechanism

Its minister, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad (Setiawangsa-PH), told Dewan Rakyat today the proposal will include a mechanism that allows water operators to adjust tariffs without ministerial approval. He, however, said the mechanism would also protect consumers of all income groups.
