No hike in electricity tariffs until year end

Commercial, industrial users to also benefit from ICPT surcharge reduction till December 31

Pengecualian surcaj Pelepasan Kos Tidak Berimbang (ICPT) kepada pengguna domestik di Sabah dan Labuan dengan penggunaan elektrik bulanan 1,500 kilowatt-jam (kWj) dan ke bawah, dikekalkan untuk tempoh enam bulan lagi, iaitu 1 Januari hingga 30 Jun 2024.

A total of 85% or seven million domestic consumers in Peninsular Malaysia will not be affected by the electricity tariff adjustment for the January 1 to June 30, 2024 period, implemented under the Imbalance Cost Pass-Through (ICPT) mechanism, the Energy Commission said.
