Japan on Wednesday started its fourth round of release of nuclear-contaminated wastewater from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant into the Pacific Ocean, despite opposition from local fishermen and residents, as well as backlash from the international community, reported Xinhua.
Japan began the second phase of the discharge of treated wastewater from the wrecked Fukushima nuclear power plant into the Pacific Ocean today, after the first phase was carried out within the established safety limits between August 24 and September 11.
