Economists have lauded the Employees Provident Fund’s increased dividend rate of 5.50% for conventional savings and 5.40% for shariah savings as a testament to the fund’s investment strategy.
The 2023 Employees' Provident Fund dividend, which remains strong, gives employees confidence in the performance of their retirement savings investment while also indicating stable and improving economic growth, said the Malaysian Trades Union Congress.
The gap in dividend rates between conventional and shariah savings in the Employees Provident Fund has narrowed in 2023, said Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan.
