Land use activities conducted upstream are likely among the contributing factors to major floods that struck Bukit Tinggi in Bentong, Pahang, last night, the Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Ministry said.
The government intends, by 2040, to ensure the water sector would no longer be seen through the aspect of welfare, but instead having a value for investment, so that water operators in the country can start investing, said the environment minister.
