A legal rights group has slammed Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh for apparently defending the controversial constitutional amendments on citizenship laws, which have courted much flak over recent months.
Perikatan Nasional (PN) lawmakers are in an uproar after the Dewan Rakyat abruptly adjourned, cutting off the opportunity to debate and vote on the contentious citizenship amendment bill.
After much controversy, the constitutional amendments on citizenship were tabled in the Dewan Rakyat today but did not see any debate due to a lack of time.
