Batu Caves is abuzz with activity as tens of thousands of Hindu devotees and tourists have already flocked to the holy site four days ahead of the annual Thaipusam celebration.
Batu Caves Hindu temple chairman Tan Sri R. Nadarajah added that the escalator will be free of charge for devotees and tourists, and expressed hope that the federal government will allocate some funds for this.
