KUALA LUMPUR – Over a thousand passionate Manchester United fans are set to gather in the Klang Valley this July for the 7th edition of the Kuala Lumpur Mancunian Red Devils Supporters Club (KLMRD) Charity Gala Dinner.

The event, taking place on July 12 at the Sunway Resort Hotel in Petaling Jaya, aims to raise funds for the Down Syndrome Association Malaysia (DSAM).

As part of its ongoing commitment to community support, KLMRD will donate 10% of the evening’s proceeds to DSAM, which works to improve the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

The fundraising target for this year’s gala is RM10,000, which will also contribute towards future initiatives, including the establishment of a new clubhouse and increasing membership from 300 to 500 by 2026.

KLMRD president Muhammad Anderson Tan expressed his enthusiasm for the event, highlighting that it offers Manchester United fans a unique opportunity to come together, enjoy the evening, and support a meaningful cause.

“We’re excited to contribute to the Down Syndrome Association Malaysia, which plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with Down syndrome,” Tan said in a statement.

This year’s gala follows in the footsteps of past charity efforts, including RM5,000 donations made in 2023 and 2024 to the Lovely Nursing Home and Trinity Community Children Home Society.

The event will feature two ticket categories: platinum at RM3,500 per table and gold at RM2,500 per table. Individual tickets are also available at RM350 (platinum) and RM250 (gold).

Additionally, attendees will have the chance to win raffle prizes, with the grand prize being an all-expenses-paid trip to Old Trafford. Special perks are available for platinum and sponsored tables, priced at RM10,000 and RM20,000, which include a meet-and-greet session with a football legend (subject to confirmation).

Tickets go on sale from March 1 via the ticketing platform Ticket2u, with early bird discounts of 5% available until March 31.

United Malaysia, an affiliate of Manchester United Football Club, regularly organises match viewing parties and exclusive events with United legends such as Bryan Robson, Ryan Giggs, and Dwight Yorke.

Last month, fans had the opportunity to meet Nicky Butt, a member of the iconic Class of ’92, during an exclusive event.

Sponsors and advertisers interested in supporting the charity gala or contributing to DSAM can contact Muhammad Anderson Tan at 012-602-7666.
