KUALA LUMPUR — The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) is reportedly under investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
Sources close to BAM disclosed that MACC officers visited the Akademi Badminton Malaysia (ABM) in Bukit Kiara earlier this week.
While the focus of the investigation remains unclear, it is believed to be related to alleged irregularities following a tip-off.
When contacted, a BAM representative declined to comment but neither confirmed nor denied the visit.
However, another source told Scoop, “Yes, I was informed that MACC officers visited the academy a few days ago to review documentation, following a tip-off.”
Additionally, it is understood that BAM acting president Datuk V. Subramaniam and secretary-general Datuk Kenny Goh may be called to provide statements. — December 1, 2024
