KUALA LUMPUR – The suspect in the burglary of Selangor FC defender Khuzaimi Piee’s home stole the footballer’s motorcycle using a white MPV, Shah Alam police said.

“Investigations found the suspect is believed to have used a white MPV type of vehicle and stole a Yamaha Y15R motorcycle,” police chief Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said in a statement today.

He said the incident was reported at 11.30pm yesterday, confirming Khuzaimi’s earlier Instagram post about the break-in at his house.

The 31-year old said in his police report that he arrived home at 9pm after a training session to find the front and back doors of his home opened and his house ransacked.

In his police report, he said several items were found missing from his home, including the Yamaha Y15 motorcycle, four crossbody bags of various brands, and a passport.

Iqbal today said the investigation is being conducted under Section 457 of the Penal Code, which carries a prison sentence of up to 14 years and a fine, if convicted.

He said those with information that could help the case should contact investigating officer Laymand Raye at 014-690-7071.

This is the second incident involving a Selangor football player since the acid attack on Faisal Halim on May 5 at a major shopping mall in Petaling Jaya, and the fourth incident involving a national football player.

Previous incidents include Terengganu FC winger Akhyar Rashid being injured in a robbery on May 2 and Johor Darul Ta’zim midfielder Safiq Rahim having his car window smashed on May 8. – May 23, 2024
