Homebois spend RM330,000 on Indonesian ace to clinch M6 title

National MLBB team import Muhammad Julian ‘Udil’ Ardiansyah to make up for last year’s M5 loss in Manila

KUALA LUMPUR – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) team Homebois has spent big to capture the M6 World Championships to be hosted in Kuala Lumpur in November.

Failing to make it out of the group stage of M5 in Manila last year, they have learned their lesson and turned to next-door neighbours Indonesia to reinforce the roster.

Homebois owner Nureddy “DaddyHood” Nursal, when contacted by Scoop said: “In the M5 group stage, we became overconfident after taking down the strong Geek Fam Indonesia team. And when we lost in the next match, we couldn’t recover.

“A change was needed and now I think everyone knows now that we have spent big in adding Muhammad Julian ‘Udil’ Ardiansyah to our roster.

“He is one of the best players in Indonesia and this is one of the steps we have taken to address our failure in Manila.”

Nureddy revealed that he paid Alter Ego RM330,000 to secure Udil’s services to prepare for the 2024 season.

“We have brought him in early to build the chemistry between him and our current roster so we are only left with small touchups when the season starts in April.

“We are the hosts for this year’s World Championships and I think this is our best chance to win as we know the environment better.

“I’m targeting for the M6 title this year, but it is not lost on me that other teams have the same goal.

“But we have to be optimistic and prepare everything we need to win on the international stage. I believe we have the ingredients to win the local league. All we need is a little top-up to win on the world stage,” added the 33-year-old.

Homebois’ season will start on Monday when they take part in the Game of the Future (GoF) tournament in Russia.

Nureddy is treating the championship as a warm-up before the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPLMY) starts in March.

“We will treat GoF as a sparring tournament to test our new roster.

“I see that my players are ready and maybe we can bring home a trophy to start the season. If that happens it would be a boost for us.

“This year, the schedule is jam-packed with back-to-back major tournaments, so I need to see if this new roster has the endurance and stamina to face the gruelling schedule.

“But whatever the result is in Russia, I know my players will be ready to face the challenge of MPLMY season 13,” added Nureddy.

Homebois 2024 roster includes Muhammad “Sepat” Irfan Aujang, Muhammad “Chibi” Nazhan Mohd Nor, Muhammad “Udil” Julian Ardiansyah, Kenneth “Nets” Sablande Barro, Mohammad “Xorn” Zul Hisham Mohd Noor, Mohd “Soloz” Faris Zakaria. – February 21, 2024
