Wai Ching’s dominance extends beyond victories, as he smashed 22 course records and set 15 personal best times during his exceptional winning streak.
“Wai Ching completed a hat trick of wins at the longest annual Towerrunning competition, the Empire State Building Run Up. He had won the same competition in 2021 and 2022.
“He became the first Asian to win the Taipei 101 International Vertical Marathon since 2005, he also became the first competitor to set a sub-eight-minute record at the KL Tower International Towerthon Challenge, clocking an impressive 7m 55s,” said Wai Ching in a statement.
Moving into 2024, the tower-running maestro is gearing up for the Towerrunning World Championship at the Taipei 101 Vertical Marathon in May.
