KUALA LUMPUR – Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani came out on top at the Kaohsiung Masters today, securing their second title of the season in impressive fashion.

The seventh-seeded national men’s doubles pair left no room for doubt, as they faced off against the top-seeded home pair of Lee Jhe Huei-Yang Po Hsuan in the final match at K-Arena in Taiwan.

With a commanding performance, Sze Fei-Izzuddin triumphed in straight games, 21-14, 21-10 in under 30 minutes.

The victory marked a significant milestone for the world number 29 duo, who have been making waves since reuniting in June, for their sixth World Tour tournament together.

Their partnership had briefly come to an end in January, driven by a shared determination to resurrect their careers after a series of poor back-to-back performances.

However, five months later, they made the pivotal decision to team up once more, driven by a common goal – qualification for the Paris Olympics next year.

Their journey in the 2023 season had already seen them claim the Super 300 US Open title in July.

The pair’s next tournament will be the Super 500 Arctic Open on October 10-15. – October 1, 2023
