Dress battle: Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo fan feud rumours as both hit Grammys red carpet in white

Tension could intensify as they go head-to-head in the record, album, song of the year categories

KUALA LUMPUR – No doubt megastar Taylor Swift is the one to watch at the 66th Grammys today – arriving at the red carpet in Los Angeles in a sculpted white Schiaparelli Couture dress while exuding “reputation” vibes.

She paired her strapless gown with velvet black gloves, her signature red lip, and loose side braids.

Swift, who is nominated for six awards, donned multiple jewelled necklaces, a black choker with a clock, and back heels. She kept her makeup simple with a “killer” cat eye.

Meanwhile, rumoured friend turned foe Olivia Rodrigo embraced old Hollywood in a sparkly white vintage Versace gown that was once worn by supermodel Linda Evangelista in 1995.

The dress has a bustier bodice and is sprinkled with red crystals.

Rodrigo, who is also up for six prizes, styled her dark brunette hair in bombshell waves with a side parting and a glossy red lip. She also sported a pair of ruby-and-diamond earrings and an aquamarine cocktail ring.

The dress, which debuted 28 years ago, is almost a decade older than the 20-year-old Rodrigo.

The supposed feud between the two pop stars could intensify as they are going head to head in the three biggest categories this year – record, album, and song of the year.

Interestingly, Swift, 34, is seated with friend and collaborator Lana Del Ray, who is not only a contributor on Swift’s “Midnights” record, but the two performed “Snow on the Beach” together.

The Swift-Rodrigo feud was rumoured last year when Rodrigo had to credit Swift on her song “Deja Vu” and part with a significant sum in royalties.

While Rodrigo repeatedly said she has “no beef” with anyone, she did not deny that her song “Vampire” is about Swift. – February 5, 2024
