KUALA LUMPUR – With five hours remaining until we usher in the new year, fans of South Korean rapper B.I have been queuing up since noon at The Exchange TRX Mall.

A TikTok video by user Michelle Loh captured the scene, showcasing fans of B.I, whose real name is Kim Han-bin, forming a long line, eagerly anticipating their favourite artist’s performance before midnight.

The fans are also seen seated in a line near the barricade area where the concert will be held. Some of them have brought paper fans to cool themselves in the heat while waiting.

B.I’s appearance in Kuala Lumpur is part of The Exchange TRX New Year’s Eve Countdown Party, which also features fellow Korean artist Leo and English electronic music group Clean Bandit.

Located in the heart of the city centre, the mall will not only host an impressive line-up of local acts – including rapper Airliftz, singers Lunadira, Claudia and Shelhiel, as well as DJ Ashley Lau and the band Bad Habits – but it also provides a vibrant entertainment experience.

Those wishing to attend the concert must reserve spots by downloading the Exchange TRX mobile app and signing up for its membership programme.

In another video posted on X, formerly Twitter, a heavy police presence can be observed at The Exchange TRX Mall.

In the five-second clip, a significant number of police officers are seen, presumably to maintain peace during tonight’s New Year’s Eve celebrations. – December 31, 2023
