MyTown GSC to issue refunds after mall’s power outage

This follows cinema operator’s cancellation of all film screenings scheduled after 6.30pm today

KUALA LUMPUR – The Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) outlet at MyTown Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur will be offering full refunds to customers affected by a mall-wide power outage. 

The cinema operator announced on Instagram that all film screenings scheduled after 6.30pm today would be impacted by the outage. 

GSC expressed their apologies for the inconvenience caused and assured customers that refunds would be issued within 14 working days for those who purchased tickets online. 

“Due to an unforeseen power issue at MyTown KL, the mall, including GSC, is currently closed.

“We deeply apologise for any inconvenience caused and will issue full refunds to those impacted by this. 

“We’re working closely with the mall to rectify this issue as quickly as possible,” GSC said. 

Customers who purchased tickets via e-kiosks were advised to return to the cinema for their refunds once the issue is resolved. – July 27, 2023
