KUALA LUMPUR – Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd (Rapid Rail) has announced the reopening of KLCC station to passengers following a minor fire incident earlier today.
The station resumed operations at 5.52pm, with passengers allowed to enter the station in stages to prevent congestion.
The incident, which occurred at 3.51pm, involved a small fire that damaged the air conditioning control panel located in the air conditioning room.
Station staff on site successfully controlled and extinguished the fire. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 4.24pm to investigate the cause of the fire and ensure the station’s safety for passengers, Rapid Rail said in a statement.
In an effort to facilitate passenger movement, Rapid Rail is providing free shuttle bus services to and from the following stations:
Dang Wangi Station (bus stop in front of Decathlon KL City Centre)
Ampang Park Station (bus stop in front of Avenue K)
Alternatively, passengers can continue their journeys via the following stations:
Kelana Jaya Line from Ampang Park and Kampung Baru stations
Putrajaya Line from Ampang Park and Persiaran KLCC stations
KL Monorail Line from Bukit Nanas station
