KUALA LUMPUR – The West Coast Expressway (WCE) will commence toll collection for Section 1, which connects the Banting Interchange to the South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) Interchange, starting 12.01am on Monday (September 30).

In a statement, WCE Sdn Bhd said the toll rates for this section will be integrated with the SKVE via the Tanjung Dua Belas Interchange, accounting for the full journey on both expressways.

This 12.5km stretch, which was officially inaugurated by Works Minister, YB Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi on August 31 this year, has been toll-free for the past month to allow for public familiarisation.

Payments will be fully electronic, accepting Touch ‘n Go cards, Smart Tag, and RFID.

WCE urges users to ensure their e-wallets and Touch ‘n Go cards have sufficient balance to avoid inconveniences at the toll plazas.

For more detailed information on the toll rates, motorists are encouraged to visit the WCE website or download the WCE mobile app.

The WCE is a 233 km major highway project that spans from Banting, Selangor, to Taiping (Changkat Jering), Perak. Once completed, it is set to play a key role in connecting cities along the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. – September 27, 2024
