KUALA LUMPUR – Pahang Perikatan Nasional (PN) state assembly persons have voiced their strong support for Tengku Mahkota Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah’s call for an investigation into Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The state’s opposition leader and PAS deputy president, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, also declared their undivided loyalty to both Tengku Hassanal and his father, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

“We place our complete trust in His Majesty to fulfil his duties and protect the people.

“We also have full confidence in the police to carry out their responsibilities. All parties should refrain from creating unnecessary polemics and must adhere to His Majesty’s orders,” he said in a statement.

Muhyiddin, who is Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman, allegedly made a speech touching on the 3R issue during the Nenggiri state by-election campaign in Kelantan last week, causing many parties to file a police report.

In the speech, he was alleged to have disputed the duties and role of the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong on not being given the prime minister’s post after the last general election (GE15).
The speech by Muhyiddin also drew the wrath of the Tengku Mahkota Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, who wanted the police to take decisive action without compromise against the Pagoh MP. – August 20, 2024
