Final report on Elmina plane crash out this afternoon

AAIB’s report will be uploaded to Transport Ministry’s website, says minister Anthony Loke

JELEBU – The final report of the plane crash in Bandar Elmina, Shah Alam, Selangor that claimed 10 lives on August 17 last year will be released at 3 this afternoon.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the report will be uploaded on the Transport Ministry’s website.

“That’s a report from the Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) and will be uploaded on the Transport Ministry’s official website at 3pm later,” he said.

He said this at a press conference after the launching ceremony of the Stage Bus Service Transformation programme in Seremban at the Kuala Klawang Bus Terminal here today.

The Preliminary Aircraft Accident Report by the Transport Ministry’s AAIB was released on September 15 last year.

In the incident, a Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) plane which took off from Langkawi International Airport crashed on its way to Subang Airport, killing 10 people comprising eight onboard the plane (six passengers and two flight crew) as well as an e-hailing driver and a motorcyclist (p-hailing) on the ground. – August 16, 2024
