Johor MB appeals to public for help in locating missing Albertine Leo

Six-year-old has been missing since Saturday, when she was separated from her family at Eco Galleria in Iskandar Puteri

KUALA LUMPUR – Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi has appealed to the public to assist police in their efforts to find a six-year-old girl who has been missing since Saturday in Taman Botani, Johor Bahru.

In a Facebook post late last night, he urged those with information about Albertine Leo Jia Hui to report it to the nearest police station.

“I received a report about a six-year-old girl who went missing on Saturday, July 20, after being separated from her family during the Bon Odori event at Eco Galleria in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru. The police are actively searching for her.

“I also request that anyone with information or anyone who finds the child report it immediately to the nearest police station. May all the efforts be eased,” he said. 

Iskandar Puteri police chief M. Kumarasan said that Albertine was last seen at Eko Galleria 3, Jalan Eko Botani 3/2, Taman Botani, Iskandar Puteri, Johor, on Saturday.

“The girl is approximately 120cm tall, with long black hair, fair skin, and a slender build. She was last seen wearing a white shirt featuring a Mickey Mouse character and a pair of shorts,” Kumarasan said in a statement.

The police are urging anyone who has seen Albertine or has any information regarding her disappearance to come forward. They can contact the nearest police station or reach out directly to Inspector Ridzuan Abd Hadi at 017-705-1097.
