KUALA LUMPUR – Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur has launched the Lamborghini Urus SE in Malaysia today.

The vehicle is the first hybrid plug-in version of the Lamborghini Super SUV and made its international debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April.

It has said the Urus SE features a new design, optimised aerodynamics, unprecedented onboard technology and an 800 CV hybrid powertrain, all of which build on the Urus S2 in terms of comfort, performance, efficiency, emissions and driving pleasure.

With its “two hearts”, thermal and electric, the torque and power values are the highest ever, said Lamborghini, giving the SE a unique place in its category and boasting an 80% reduction in emissions.

Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific region director Francesco Scardaoni said the company expected new customers to approach, especially younger generations, who focus a lot more on sustainability.

“The first generation Urus was launched in 2018. It was an amazing success, and 70% of the customers (who bought the Urus) were new to the brand.

“We expect to have new customers who will approach Lamborghini, especially those fully focused on sustainability, especially the young generation,” he told reporters in a group interview today.

Scardaoni also said the Urus SE model had received many orders from all over the world, including Asia and Malaysia.

“The success of the Urus SE starts to be visible, and it shows the market’s immediate reaction when we introduce this product,” he said.

The Lamborghini Urus SE is now open for booking in Malaysia through Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur, the authorised distributor, with a starting price of RM1.02 million before taxes, duties and customisation. – June 4, 2024
