Tree falls in Hulu Selangor, damaging three cars

No casualties reported in incident near Sri Kemboja apartment in Bukit Sentosa

KUALA LUMPUR – A large tree has fallen this evening, this time near the Sri Kemboja apartment in Hulu Selangor, which damaged three vehicles.

However, the Fire and Rescue Department in Bukit Sentosa said no casualties were reported in the incident at the complex along Jalan Kemboja 4A/8 in Bukit Sentosa.

Senior fire officer Mohd Fauzi Wahab said that responders received a distress call at 4.59pm and a team was dispatched to the scene shortly after.

“The tree fell on three parked cars: a Proton Wira (WKL 5301), a Perodua Myvi (JCC 279) and another Perodua Myvi (WVT 8277),” the department said in a statement.

A team of seven personnel, along with a fire engine and an emergency medical response service vehicle, was dispatched from the Bukit Sentosa fire station, the department said.

“The firefighters promptly began cutting and removing the fallen tree to clear the area.”

The department said the situation was brought under control by 5.15pm. – May 29, 2024
