KL Monorail resumes service from 5pm today

Rapid Rail said repair works, clearing of debris was completed at 5.55am this morning

KUALA LUMPUR – KL Monorail will resume its services at 5pm onwards today, after operations were disrupted by a massive tree that fell on the tracks and along Jalan Sultan Ismail here yesterday.

Operator Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd said repair works and clearing of debris have been completed at 5.55am today.

The operations team and structural engineer have also carried out several safety checks to ensure the tracks are stable and ready for service resumption. 

With this, the alternative train service and feeder buses will no longer be operational.

Train frequency during peak hours is every seven minutes and every 10 minutes during off-peak hours.

The incident yesterday resulted in one death and two injured as well as 17 damaged vehicles. – May 8, 2024
