PETALING JAYA – PKR will celebrate the party’s establishment for 25 years by holding a carnival, which will comprise, among other things, exhibitions, forum discourse and various interesting activities on May 11 at Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur.

PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar said the party would also hold a thanksgiving ceremony, besides a dinner, to celebrate the sacrifices and contributions of members.

“The history of this party’s establishment, which began with various trials and tribulations before maturing into PKR’s struggle and culminating in PKR’s involvement in the national government, will be presented in the form of exhibitions, forum discourses, and other activities throughout the carnival,” she stated.

She said this at a press conference on the 25 Years of Keadilan Carnival here, today, which is expected to attract about 10,000 visitors.

Nurul Izzah said that in conjunction with the celebration, PKR will also work with government agencies to open mobile counters including summons payment counters, ID card application counters and counters related to halal certification.

She said the carnival will also present other interesting activities such as traditional folk games, performances by buskers and artists such as Aisha Retno, Kaka Azraff and Datuk Zainal Abidin, apart from stall sales by various local vendors. – May 3, 2024
