Decapitated body of man found in cement mixer

The deceased was caught in the mixer’s blades, his head and arm severed

KUALA LUMPUR – Police are investigating the death of a factory worker who was decapitated after falling into a cement mixer in Shah Alam.

Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim said police received information about the accident at around 11.44am today, from a member of the public about a body found inside a 10-foot-wide cement mixer at a materials factory in Section 35.

The deceased was caught in the mixer’s blades and his head was severed, as well as his right arm at the elbow.

Police have classified the case as sudden death, Iqbal said in a statement.

“The deceased was identified by his next of kin by a tattoo on the left arm,” he added.

The body has been sent to Shah Alam Hospital for post-mortem.

The gruesome find was also reported to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, which recovered the body at around 4pm, the department said in a statement. 

The department also identified the victim as being in his 50s. – April 17, 2024
