One Myanmar national dead, local man injured in road collision outside Shah Alam

Both individuals were stuck in a five-tonne lorry that collided with a roll-on/off garbage truck

KUALA LUMPUR – A Myanmar national died in a collision involving a five-tonne lorry and a roll-on/off garbage truck in Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang heading to Shah Alam.

He was stuck in the crashed lorry and died on the spot.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said personnel are trying to remove the victim’s remains.

The other victim, a 58-year-old Malaysian man, escaped with minor injuries and was rescued by fire and rescue personnel.

Both men were stuck in the five-tonne lorry, which was carrying ice.

The Myanmar national was in the passenger seat, while the Malaysian drove the vehicle.

An emergency call was placed at 4.05pm today and a team from the Puchong station was deployed. – April 12, 2024
