KUALA LUMPUR – A woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a man in Kuala Krai to death.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said they apprehended a 28-year-old Malay woman, suspected to have been confined by the man, and confiscated a vegetable knife.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
However, the 45-year-old man, whose body was found in front of a public toilet at Dataran Lemang Manek Urai on Monday with no traces of blood.
Zaki said the man was suspected to have wrongfully confined the woman and had criminal records involving narcotic use.
“Police investigations also found that the incident occurred on March 28, where the victim brought (one Malay woman) from Sg Tong, Setiu, to several locations in the Kuala Krai district,” he said in a statement today.
“The victim was then stabbed three times in the stomach by the woman using a knife, during sexual intercourse.”
Zaki said the man’s stab wounds, which penetrated his abdomen and hit the big intestines, were the cause of death.
“The victim also did not seek medical treatment, causing the wound to worsen due to infection.” – April 3, 2024
