KUALA LUMPUR – By keying in the promo code UMRAHGRAB during checkout for every GrabFood, GrabCar or GrabMart order, customers will stand a chance to win an umrah package.

As for Grab drivers and delivery-partners, they too stand a chance to win “The Ramadan Challenge” by submitting a photo or video of a loved one they want to share this trip with along with an explanation of why.

“During this holy month of Ramadan, we not only salute the dedicated and tireless efforts of our partners but also extend our appreciation to consumers.

“We recognise the significance of every ride or order they place, understanding each transaction contributes towards supporting driver- and delivery-partners out there, especially in anticipation of the upcoming Raya celebrations.

“To show our gratitude, we’ve introduced The Ramadan Challenge, where winners will win an umrah package. It is an extension of our effort to champion inclusivity and accessibility, recognising the diverse dreams and aspirations of Malaysians,” said Rashid Shukor, director of country operations and mobility, Grab Malaysia.

Apart from the contest, Grab will also continue its fundraising efforts for various NGOs – Mercy Malaysia, Pertiwi, The Lost Food Project and others – to help underprivileged communities.

Consumers can also chip in by donating their GrabRewards to their preferred charity organisation and Grab will match every contribution.

In addition, Grab has released a Ramadan-themed film, Aku Sebuah Beg Pesanan, which tells the story of Mat, a delivery bag.

After a brief hiatus, Mat returns to his duties upon realising the impact he has on the lives of his delivery-partner and family.
