KUALA LUMPUR – Selangor PAS is confident it will take over the administration of the state in the 16th general election (GE16).

Selangor PAS information chief Zurk Ahmad said in a statement today that the party vows to make Selangor a competitive state in terms of economy, good and quality infrastructure, and free from corrupt political leaders.

He said that the party is committed to ensuring efficient utilisation of Selangor’s resources and establishing an administration that is efficient and inclusive for people of all races and religions after the election.

“With the slogan ‘PAS for All’ Selangor will be developed to achieve a resolution of action involving think tanks of various races and religions as the starting point for this effort.

“Selangor PAS is confident that the state will prosper and be able to offer high-paying jobs if it is developed fairly by community figures hailing from Malay, Chinese, Indian, and other ethnic backgrounds,” he said.

Zurk said that the matters discussed above were the focal points of the three-day retreat session organised by Selangor PAS at the Grand Barokah Hotel in Ampang.

This session is the first time it has been held under the leadership of new state chief, Datuk Dr Ab Halim Tamuri.

He added that the retreat centred on strengthening the PAS organisation and defining a strategic direction leading up to GE16. – February 18, 2024
