Kapar air crash: both victims died of multiple injuries from incident, post-mortem shows

Bodies to be released to families as soon as possible, say police

KLANG – The two victims of the plane crash in Kg Tok Muda near Kapar, Klang yesterday died due to multiple injuries sustained in the incident.

Confirming this, Klang Utara district police chief S. Vijaya Rao said the post-mortem of the victims concluded at 12.15pm.

“The post-mortem conducted by Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital’s forensic team revealed that the cause of death (for both victims) was multiple injuries resulting from a plane crash.

“The fingerprint examination results identified the first victim as Daniel Yee Hsiang Khoon, the 31-year-old pilot, and the second victim as Roshaan Singh Raina, the 43-year-old co-pilot,” he told reporters at the forensic department earlier.

He said that the bodies of the two victims would be released to the next of kin as soon as possible. However, he added that there were additional procedures that the hospital had to complete before releasing them to their families.

“We will do our best to expedite the handover of the bodies to the family members and assist in funeral arrangements,” he said.

Vijaya also said that the Air Accident Investigation Bureau was currently investigating the cause of the crash involving the BK160 Gabriel light aircraft.

He also advised the public to refrain from sharing any pictures or videos related to the incident.

“Please avoid sharing any pictures or videos, particularly those taken at the scene, out of respect for the sensitivities of the family members involved in the tragedy.” – February 14, 2024
