KUALA LUMPUR – Perikatan Nasional (PN) ushered in the year of the dragon, celebrating Chinese New Year with leaders of the opposition coalition coming out to enjoy the festivities.

PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and PN Selangor chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali were among those who joined in the celebration hosted by fellow coalition party Gerakan.

They were welcomed by Gerakan president Datuk Dominic Lau Hoe Chai.

The open house, held at the party’s headquarters at Menara PGRM in Cheras, was thronged by members of the public as early as 9am.

They were entertained by colourful and energetic lion and dragon dance performances.

Among others present were PN deputy chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, PAS central committee member Dr Halimah Ali, and Bersatu vice president Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin.

Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman was also spotted joining the celebration, wearing a red shirt.

However, Bersatu leaders Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin and Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah were conspicuously absent amid allegations of internal conflicts within the party – February 10, 2024
