KUALA LUMPUR – English football icon David Beckham is in Kuala Lumpur and is set to make an appearance at The Exchange TRX at 6pm today.

On his official Instagram account yesterday, the 48-year-old former professional footballer posted a picture of himself with the Petronas Twin Towers in the background, captioning it, “I mean… wow… what a view, what a city.”

The post garnered over 800,000 likes in just 9 hours, and fans and followers welcomed his visit to Malaysia.

Instragram user woshijay.attynz said, “Welcome to Malaysia my GOAT! Wanna meet you!”

Another user, sincerelyshe2210 said, “Welcome to Malaysia, enjoy your stay.”

He is scheduled to launch The World of the Predator exhibition, showcasing the 30-year history of football boots designed by Adidas.

It was reported that Adidas has announced an exclusive contest for adiClub members, offering them a chance to win a meet-and-greet session with the former Manchester United star today.

To participate, members need to spend RM999 in a single receipt, including purchases of Adidas football apparel or footwear from participating stores, Adidas’ website, or the mobile app.

This is Beckham’s third trip to the country, following his presence in 2014 for Breitling’s first-anniversary celebration and an event hosted by AIA Malaysia in 2017, where he served as the AIA global ambassador at that time. – February 1, 2024
