Surviving German man, 51, taken to hospital after two-seater crashed into open field

KUALA LUMPUR – A 50-year-old Austrian man was killed and another seriously injured after their two-seater plane crashed into an open field in Chon Buri province, Thailand this morning.

While trying to extract the two victims from the wreckage, the emergency services found the Austrian dead.

The surviving 51-year-old German man was found severely injured.

Both have been taken to the district hospital, according to local media.

The men were flying to an event for a scheduled flyover, and were not part of a tour company.

So far, the cause of the crash is unknown. – January 13, 2024
