MetMalaysia warns of severe continuous rain impacting Pahang, Johor

Areas involved are Pekan, Rompin in Pahang, and Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, Johor Bahru in Johor

KUALA LUMPUR – The Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a severe-level continuous rain warning for several areas in Pahang and Johor, beginning yesterday and lasting until Sunday.

In a statement last night, MetMalaysia stated the areas involved are Pekan and Rompin (Pahang) and Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru (Johor).

The department also issued an alert-level continuous rain warning within the same period, involving Kuantan in Pahang as well as Batu Pahat and Pontian in Johor. – January 5, 2024
