Road closure on MRR2 enroute to Ampang from 10pm to 5am for sinkhole repair

Sinkhole located in front of Petronas and Shell in Ulu Klang, middle lane will be closed for repairs

KUALA LUMPUR – Road users heading towards Ampang are advised to detour or find alternative roads due to a sinkhole that emerged on the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2). 

The sinkhole is in front of a Petronas and Shell petrol stations in Ulu Klang, in the middle lane which will be closed temporarily for repairs.

Prolintas, which manages the MRR2, said on X (formerly Twitter) that repairs to fill the sinkhole will commence from 10pm tonight until 5am tomorrow.

“Detour at the exit at Shell Junction Bandar Tasik Selatan to MRR2,” Prolintas said. 

Another X user, @huzaifahx, warned other road users driving towards Ampang of the sinkhole and advised them to use an alternative route due to the middle lane closure.

On Facebook, a user called Shahrim Tamrin also said that a sinkhole incident had happened on the MRR2 as well, towards Ampang. – December 20, 2023
