Human remains found near Sg Malim in Melaka

No identification was found on the body as police continue their investigations

MELAKA – The skeletal remains of a human were found on the banks of Sungai Malim in Taman Gadong Perdana, here yesterday.

Melaka Tengah district police chief ACP Christopher Patit said police were alerted at about 5.10pm to the discovery of the skeleton by local anglers.

“Investigations by the forensic team and K9 Unit of the Melaka police contingent headquarters and Melaka Hospital pathologists confirmed that the skeleton was that of a human,” he said in a statement today.

“The remains were partly buried under leaves and sand,” he said.

He said no identification papers were found and police were continuing with investigations to determine the cause of death. – December 12, 2023
