KUALA LUMPUR – Police have confirmed that Community Communications Department (J-Kom) assistant officer Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani, lodged a police report today regarding a video recording of a conversation involving an individual resembling former J-Kom director-general Datuk Mohammad Agus Yusoff, and an agency staff member.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, when contacted by Bernama, said that Wahab lodged the report at about 11am today, at the Kajang police headquarters.
He added that the case was being investigated by the Bukit Aman classified crime investigation unit.
Recently, a three-minute long video showing an online conversation between a man allegedly resembling Agus and another individual went viral on social media.
Agus claims that the video had been edited, and had lodged a police report regarding the matter.
Meanwhile, commenting on the fight at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium (MBPJ) on November 25, Hussein said that the police are still conducting investigations to identify several more individuals.
He added that, out of the 23 individuals detained, nine of them will be charged tomorrow under Section 149 and Section 427 of the Penal Code.
“The rest will be released on police bail,” he said briefly.
Earlier, a 44-second video and three photos made their rounds on social media, showing a group of individuals and damaged vehicles in connection with an altercation at the MBPJ Stadium, before the match between Selangor FC and Perak FC took place. – November 30, 2023
