KUALA LUMPUR – Community Communications Department (J-Kom) assistant officer Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani is expected to lodge a police report against ‘Mr H’ soon, after giving his statement to the police at Bukit Aman this morning.

Wahab’s lawyer, Faizal Rahman, said in addition to giving his statement, the assistant officer also confirmed the identity of ‘Mr H’ to corroborate former J-Kom director-general Datuk Mohammad Agus Yusoff’s identification of the individual.

“Wahab is still having depression and currently on medication. He is supposed to lodge a police report today.

“Since he is not so stable, he might lodge the report either tomorrow or day after,” he told reporters following the meeting with the police today.

Faizal said Wahab had his statement recorded by the police between 11am to 2.30pm.

“We have completed our part, so now we leave it to the police to complete their investigation.”

He also described Wahab as being “scared and perturbed” but stable during the session with the police.

Stopping short of identifying ‘Mr H’, Faizal added that the individual involved is apparently attached to J-Kom and is currently still serving in the department.

On Monday, Wahab was previously reported as having severe depression, forcing him to

to reschedule his appointment with the police.

He had been due to provide his statement to the police on Saturday in relation to an alleged lewd video featuring him and Agus.

Both Agus and Wahab in a press conference on November 17, admitted to having a video call but said the audio in the clip was doctored to make it sound like a lewd conversation.

They both also said a ‘Mr H’ who worked in J-Kom was behind the clip meant to tarnish Agus, and was the one who instructed Wahab to record the call for the purpose of entrapment.

Agus has since lodged a police report against ‘Mr H’, while police have since urged Wahab to come forward to assist with the investigation. – November 29, 2023
