KUALA LUMPUR – Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin should stop using his wife to justify the U-turn he made during the party’s annual general meeting last weekend, said Lim Guan Eng.
The DAP national chairman said Muhyiddin should have stuck to his guns and been the man of his words.
“Muhyiddin may be playing Bersatu members, but don’t do this to Malaysians. As leaders, we should take responsibility for our decisions. If you want to make a U-turn, give a really reasonable explanation. But don’t blame your wife,” Lim said in a Facebook post today.
“I was shocked to find out that Muhyiddin would not defend his presidency in the coming polls, but he retracted his decision less than 24 hours later.”
On November 25, Muhyiddin made a U-turn in less than 24 hours after he decided not to defend his presidency in the coming polls.
He told delegates that he changed his mind after getting a text message from his wife, Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman.
