KUALA LUMPUR – All highways except two in Johor will be toll-free in conjunction with Deepavali festivities, the Works Ministry said.

The toll free period runs from 12.01am on November 11 to 11.59pm on November 12, minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said in a statement.

This applies to all vehicle classes at all toll plazas except the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar toll plaza and Tg Kupang toll plaza in Johor.

Some 11.8 million vehicles are expected on highways for the festive season.

Nanta reminded motorists to plan their journeys ahead of time and to check the latest traffic updates at the Malaysian Highway Authority’s social media platforms or by calling 1-800-88-7752. – November 10, 2023
