Former Sekijang MP Natrah Ismail dies at 73

Fahmi Fadzil confirms her death on X, says she has always fought for people’s welfare

KUALA LUMPUR – Former Sekijang MP Natrah Ismail died yesterday at the age of 73.

Her death was confirmed by Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), saying he just received the sad news. 

He said Natrah was a good person, orderly and always fighting for the people’s welfare. 

“May Allah shower her sould with mercy,” the PKR information chief wrote. 

Meanwhile, former Bukit Melawati assemblyman Juwairiya Zulkifli, through a post on Facebook, said that Natrah died of cancer at the Segamat Hospital. 

Natrah, who was a member of the Keadilan Central Women’s Leadership Council, was the Sekijang MP from 2018 to 2022. – November 3, 2023
