KUALA LUMPUR – The Global PR Festival 2025 (GPRF2025), the first international public relations festival of its kind, is expected to attract 750 delegates, including 250 international participants, offering a dynamic program featuring renowned speakers, interactive workshops, and unparalleled networking opportunities.
Organised by the Public Relations Practitioners Society Malaysia (PRactitioners), the event will be held at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from November 13 to 15.
Leading industry figures who will be sharing their expertise include Ikhlas Capital chairman and former Chairman of CIMB Tan Sri Nazir Razak, Malaysian Dynamic Media Sdn Bhd CEO and adjunct professor for Unitar International University and Taylor’s College Datuk Jake Abdullah, and Westports Malaysia CEO and co-chairman of the Queens Park Rangers FC Datuk Reuben Gnanalingam.
The event will also feature renowned international speakers such as Institute of Public Relations Singapore president Koh Juat Muay, fellow of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), former national PRSA director & trustee of the PRSA Foundation, and a past president of the PRSA-NY chapter and the Kansas City Chapter Lee-Ann Germinder, and vice president of the Africa Public Relations Association Dr Michele Mekeme.
The GPRF2025 is expected to delve into critical topics in public relations, such as crisis communication, reputation management, digital PR, and the impact of AI.
The festival is strategically positioned as a prelude to Visit Malaysia Year 2026, showcasing Malaysia’s leadership in Asean and its attractiveness as a global destination for business, networking, and cultural exchange.

Meanwhile, according to Syed Mohammed Idid, deputy chairman of the PRactitioners, the fee for this international PR conference for three days is RM4,000 per participant.
However, he said that for early birds, the fee is RM3,000 per head until Malaysia Day on September 16, after which it will revert to the original price, and it is all HRDF claimable.
“And for members of the Public Relations PRactitioners Society of Malaysia, the price is RM2,500 per person. For university students who are registered as Young PRactitioners members, participation is free but is limited to a first-come, first-served basis,” Syed Idid said. – February 25, 2025
