KUALA LUMPUR – 17-year-old Nurul Aishah Farhana Azni has been missing in Batang Kali since last night, according to Hulu Selangor police.

According to district police chief Mohd Asri Mohd Yunus, the teenaged girl was last seen at Sakon Thai restaurant in Jalan Mahagoni, Bandar Utama Batang Kali.

Members of the public with information on the girl’s whereabouts are urged to contact the nearest police station or investigating officer Muhammad Saiful Abdul Rahman at 03-6064 1222 and Hulu Selangor district police headquarters at 03-6064 1223.

Asri told Scoop that police were alerted to Nurul’s disappearance by her father who lodged a report at the Batang Kali police station at 12:45pm today.

He said Nurul went missing in January, but returned home within 24 hours.

This time, Asri ruled out the possibility that the girl ran away from home after quarrelling with family members.

Batang Kali made headlines after six-year-old Albertine Leo Jia Hui was found in a hotel after she was reported missing for three days.

Yesterday, Albertine was rescued by police, who are investigating her disappearance as a kidnapping. – July 24, 2024
