KUALA LUMPUR – Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim now owns the special edition licence plate “FFF 1” after placing a winning bid of RM1.75 million.

The king received the special plate from Transport Minister Anthony Loke, and expressed hope that the funds would be used by the federal government to help the people.

Loke, in a Facebook post, said the Transport Ministry would use the funds from Sultan Ibrahim’s bid for several initiatives run by the ministry such as flight ticket subsidies for students (FlySiswa), the MyLesen programme and the motorcycle helmets replacement scheme for B40 motorists.

Sultan Ibrahim also owns the “FF 1” plate for which he bid RM1.2 million in June.

In February, he received the “GOLD 1” special edition plate by bidding RM1.5 million, at that time the highest bid placed for a vehicle licence plate in Malaysia. – June 20, 2024
