Prince Court Medical Centre to become premier hub for athletes’ orthopaedic care

Hospital launches new clinic with national squash ace S. Sivasangari, who made a remarkable comeback after recovering, making an appearance

KUALA LUMPUR – Prince Court Medical Centre is set to become the one-stop centre for national athletes seeking orthopaedic treatments in the coming years. 

Established in 2007, Prince Court boasts over 160 consultants and 1100 employees, delivering top-notch medical solutions and life-saving treatments.

Recently awarded the Medical Tourism Hospital of the Year award, Prince Court celebrated the launch of its brand new orthopaedic clinic with national squash ace S. Sivasangari making an appearance.

The clinic’s inauguration was also attended by IHH Healthcare Malaysia chief executive officer Jean-François Naa and Prince Court chief executive officer Dr Shuba Srinivasan.

Speaking to Scoop, Shuba said that orthopaedic treatments are essential for sports athletes to prevent long-term injuries. 

“Orthopedics is very important for athletes. As you know, many sports injuries are related to orthopaedics.

“We are not just focused on healing their ailments. We are more concerned with their recovery process and how much stress they can apply to their joints once they are healed, as well as how much they can push themselves. 

“We chose Sivasangari for the launch today because of her resilience and she has been a huge inspiration for the nation after recovering from her injury.

“We have had several sports figures coming to us in the past, but Sivasangari is someone special to us. 

“We want to convey to the athletes that Prince Court is a one-stop centre and we will provide holistic care for everyone,” said Shuba. 

The new orthopaedic facility will feature 14 consultation rooms and five treatment rooms in a contemporary setting. – May 27, 2024
