Tragic journey: 19-year-old girl killed in bike-lorry accident on Jalan Klang Utama

According to Fire Department, victim was crushed, dragged 20 feet after container lorry collided with her motorcycle

KUALA LUMPUR – A 19-year-old girl was killed in a road accident this afternoon when a lorry collided with her motorcycle near a beverage factory on Jalan Klang Utama.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department senior fire officer Rafizi Taib said the department responded to a distress call at around 1.59pm and found the girl dead shortly after arriving on the scene.

He said the container lorry ran into the motorcycle, and the victim was subsequently crushed and dragged along the road for around 20 feet.

The victim, riding a Yamaha motorcycle, is believed to have been travelling from Kapar to Klang before the incident.

Six officers were dispatched to the scene, along with a fire response truck. 

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. – April 9, 2024
