SHAH ALAM – The remains of Kuala Kubu Bharu assemblywoman Lee Kee Hiong are expected to be cremated at the Nirvana Crematorium in Shah Alam, Section 21 tomorrow morning.
Selangor DAP secretary Ng Sze Han said before the cremation, family members and friends are expected to gather at the Kuala Lumpur Nirvana Centre at 9.30am before the cortege leaves for the Nirvana Crematorium in Shah Alam.
“We, from the Selangor DAP wish to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the late Lee,” said Ng when contacted by Bernama.
Ng is heading the committee to handle the funeral services of the three-term Kuala Kubu Bharu assemblywoman who passed away on Thursday (March 21) morning due to cancer.
The wake was held at KL Nirwana Centre (Nirwana 2) for three days from March 22 to allow everyone to pay their last respects.
Meanwhile, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, on X, said he had paid his last respects to the late Lee.
“I wish to offer my condolences for the passing of Lee. I would also like to offer my condolences to her comrades in DAP for her demise.
“Her services and contributions in Kuala Kubu Bharu will continue to be remembered and her good work continued,” he said.
Lee, 58, who held the Kuala Kubu Bharu seat since 2013, has been battling cancer for the past few years. – March 24, 2024
