KUALA LUMPUR – Another two Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) locations are closing, with GSC Klang Parade in Selangor and GSC Heritage Mall Kota Tinggi in Johor being the latest outlets to see their curtains go down on March 31.
GSC in an announcement on its social media platforms said the two outlets will screen their final shows on the last day of the month and officially end operations on April 1.
“It’s been an incredible ride and a pleasure to serve you. We cannot express enough gratitude for your unwavering support and enthusiasm over these years.”
It said the public can still enjoy movies at its nearby cinemas, GSC Setia City Mall instead of Klang Parade, and at GSC IOI Mall Kulai instead of the Heritage Mall in Kota Tinggi.
“Thank you once again for letting us be part of your film-loving journey. We look forward to welcoming you again soon!,” it said in the post.
Last year, GSC ceased operations in Alamanda in Putrajaya on August 14 and GSC Berjaya Times Square on November 27.
GSC 3 Damansara was the most recent to shut down a few days ago, on March 18, after 15 years of operations there. – March 20, 2024
